Sonia Poulton is an experienced, hard-working and honest independent journalist and commentator – and she has been for many years with investigations often where no mainstream journalist chooses or dares to tread.
Sonia writes this regarding the latest ‘methane cutting’ additives in UK cattle and shares her rationale for why she is an independent journalist:
‘ARLA BACKLASH IS A WIN
I absolutely love seeing the backlash to the Arla product being introduced into the UK.
I also love seeing small, independent farmers (and some bigger suppliers) standing up and saying ‘we are not using that stuff’. The Soil Association speaking out was good, too.
Turns out people would prefer cows farting than stuffing them with even more poisons and chemicals than they might already have in their systems.
Arla’s ‘methane cutting’ cow feed additive (that major dairy producers and some supermarkets are trialling to their customers) is the moment for British farms to fightback.
I suspect local farm shops are going to be more busy than usual this weekend. That’s what I’m hearing already from my local one, and others are reporting the same.
For many, this is a Net Zero push too far and the illusion is starting to shatter. And I speak as someone who doesn’t eat meat.
The fact is – although you won’t hear this from legacy media – this is all part of a much bigger plan that is not for the good of your health.
Farmers, THEY want your land.
They will use every cunning, every trick, every bribe, every blackmail, every incentive, every coercion, every force, every law and every ruse to acquire it.
These are not people who are known for altruism or morality. They are takers and if you own land, you are in their way. And that includes what you do with your land.
These are the globalist players casting a shadow over our world via the outlets and actors of organisations including the World Economic Forum (WEF), the World Health Organisation (WHO), BlackRock, Vanguard, Klaus Schwab, Larry Fink, Bill Gates, etc.
Then, for Brits, we have the likes of PM Keir Starmer and London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Neither are actually major influences on the world stage but they are very willing puppets for the globalist agenda (unfortunately for us).
These parasites – there are many more – claim to want to make the world safer, cleaner and healthier, and they are doing that by introducing untested – and without longterm data or assessments – medicines and measures into public life.
Over and over again. Year in, year out.
We are the experiment. They are making a fortune – and also harming us – out of our inability to effectively challenge what is happening.
Which is one of the reasons I welcome the Arla backlash. It’s an ‘up yours’ to the global shills and a further opportunity for more people to wake up to the nefarious actions being forced on us.
This is one of the reasons I started our breakfast livestream. To attempt to get to the truth of what is going on in our world.
I don’t want to adhere to some concocted nonsense that a TV or radio producer thinks will make a good debate, but really only takes us round in circles and stops us looking at the real problems – and who are creating them.
We talk about real issues that are impacting us and we address those who are responsible for it. And, further more, we look for solutions.
Much of the actions being foisted upon us is enabled under a virtuous banner: the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Myself, my (extensive and brilliant) guests, our viewers and contributors cover ‘2030’ extensively because pretty much everything that is happening in public life is informed by it.
And, if you are not familiar, here’s a short cut to what we call on the show ‘2030: there’s that year again’: much of it is a lie designed to create a prison around us where our movements are restricted – unless we agree to certain conditions, including medical and financial tyranny – and our every action is tracked.
The ‘why’ Is a significant part of a greater question that we also discuss. Our live chatters have plenty to say, too. Come and join us, you’ll be made welcome.

Do check out the X thread (link above), which also provides this site with a list of ‘Bovaer Free Farms’ (link below) – information that many people will be interested in if only to make a ‘people’s stand’ against experiments on livestock on the pretext of saving the planet from farts. For goodness sake!

Here is another directory for ‘No Bovaer Farms’ flagged up by Dr David Cartland. It’s clear this issue has really struck a chord with UK Farmers and the general public:

More background information on this topic thanks to Robin Monotti who provides this quote:
“Gates is not the only billionaire looking to fund projects that reduce cows’ methane emissions. Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s billionaire founder, donated $9.4million (£7.8m) to a project at Surrey’s Pirbright Institute that aims to reduce the methane produced by cows by means of a vaccination.” Jon Brady

More commentary initiated by Dr Jennine Morgan:
‘It is clear to me that treating cows with a chemical to remove 23% of the 0.38% of total methane produced in UK is a complete nonsense & will likely harm the cows microbiome & possibly our own. This is all about getting rid of meat, dairy & farmers in my view & is nothing to do with climate which always changes but has nothing to do with methane or CO2.
See @ChrisMartzWX for more about climate.’

20th February 2025 – Here is the UK Government’s response to those who signed the petition sent to me via an email:
‘Dear Deborah Hepplewhite,
The Government has responded to the petition you signed – “Require labelling of beef & dairy from cows fed with additives to reduce methane”.
Government responded:
There are currently no rules requiring meat or dairy products to be labelled with details of animal feed, and the Government has no plans to introduce any.
Thank you for your petition requesting labelling on beef and dairy products from cows fed with additives to reduce methane.
Feed additives have no effect on milk and help tackle climate change. This in turn means that the likelihood of extreme weather events, such as floods or extreme heat or fires, is lessened.
Defra considers that methane suppressing feed products are an essential tool to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sector. We are committed to working with industry to stimulate the market and encourage uptake of these products. Methane suppressing feed products (MSFPs) are an innovative group of products which reduce methane emissions from ruminants. They can be natural e.g. seaweed derivatives or synthetic e.g., calcium nitrates, 3-nitrooxypropanol – or 3NOP.
All authorised feed additives have undergone the Food Standard Agency’s (FSA) and Food Standard Scotland’s (FSS) rigorous safety assessment. This assessment is part of the regulated products authorisation risk analysis process (https://www.food.gov.uk/sites/default/files/media/document/fsa-risk-analysis-flowchart.pdf) which ensures products are safe and appropriate for the UK market. This process ensures that dairy produce from animals fed MSFPs is safe to consume.
At present there is one FSA approved methane-suppressing feed additive on the UK market. 3NOP/Bovaer is the only high efficacy feed additive (delivering about 30% methane reduction) to have received FSA approval for use in lactating ruminants and ruminants for reproduction. Fed in accordance with manufacturer instructions, 3-NOP/Bovaer is fully metabolized by the cow and was not detected in milk in studies considered by the FSA and FSS.
There are currently no rules requiring meat or dairy products to be labelled with details of animal feed and there are no plans to introduce any. Businesses are able voluntarily to differentiate their brand by providing details of production methods, but mandatory labelling could result in significant costs being passed on to the consumer.
